    ... Steamboat’s unexpected eruption and told us we were lucky to be seeing it’s “cool down”, which was pretty impressive. Sounded like a locomotive – ha, guess that’s why the name! We didn’t see much wildlife in the park (2 lone bison on our entire drive; 3 elk munching the green grass of a park Lodge), but immediately as we left Grand Teton National Park (which connects Yellowstone to the South) ...

    ... I'm sure the most impressive. We were once again fortunate to be able to stay in the park for 3 nights, so we had plenty of time to explore. Several times we had to stop because bison were in the road! Although Greg was not too impressed with the bison. His comment was that we can see bison in Ohio, although usually it's on your plate next to the mashed potatoes and gravy. We saw a coyote in a large meadow, pouncing on small meadow critters. ...

    ... round trip drive to summit of Signal Mouintain, stopped at Jenny Lake for more great sights of the Tetons, at a ferry over Snake River and general store dating from 100 years age, small wooden church, and picturesque barns on Mormon Row.

    It was hard to leave the charming Blackhills of South Dakota. The Badlands National Park was over 100 degrees F - too hot but the Minuteman Missile site was really interesting.
