    ... Hutongs" are Beijing's version of old Williamsburg. They're the slums within the city-- there is no indoor plumbing, just communal bathrooms on every few streets-- but they're gentrifying so there are trendy bars and restaurants popping up. We walked around, had dinner a few times there, and I began to see the charm of Beijing.

    -I hung out with JP and Winder, 2 friends from high school, who live here and told me all about their lives and the craziness of China.

    As soon as we de-boarded at the massive Peking International Airport, I felt both as small as an ant and as large as an elephant all at the same time.     This morning we got packed up, and Ada's cousin came and picked us up. We had breakfast on the street. Ada's cousin and Ada had corn zhou, and I had soup. We also had two different bread-type things. One was like a middle-eastern flat bread; the other was like a twisted airy stick bread. I wasn't very hungry.
