... plaza, several parks. We spent a good part of the am in a park near the river napping and sunbathing! It was hot enough for shorts, and lots of locals were enjoying the beautiful weather, too.
While we were on the train from Bodo to Trondheim, we left the Arctic Circle =( So, our extreme north excursion drew to a close...but the adventures continue =)

It's dinner time!
... a day, and they really love their bread. Just about every meal includes bread that is made fresh daily. Sometimes instead of bread they eat room-temperature waffles with butter and jam. That's different, isn't it?
Around the time that American's eat dinner, we're enjoying light snacks. Before bed we'll have a little ice cream - yeah!

Day 17 - Trondheim
... city visits, to store our packs in left luggage lockers. As we would be leaving by train we wanted to use the left luggage in the train station. Unlike many towns the Trondheim ferry terminal is not close to the train station so we asked a local for directions and set off. Crossing the Arctic Circle (Days 5 and 6)
... over 1,000 years ago, among other things. Bodo was heavily bombed in World War II (2/3 of the town's buildings were destroyed) so it has a very post-war feel to it.

Northerly Shift
... was sad but the 10-15 minute walk did warm me back up, in particular my toes. The walk also paralleled the funicular track for a bit and we were lucky to be passed by one of the cars during our walk along this section. The zipline experience had been fun and I look forward to doing other runs in the future. I would've liked to do Åre's additional 4 lower runs, which we walked past on our way down, but tours are only offered for the top and lower 4 independently. We ...
