... hours we were there. The last past was a walk along the beach to get to our guesthouse. Our room was 5m from the shoreline and we could watch the sunset from our balcony. Not bad indeed.

The actual town we were staying in was called Sabang. The area is best known for its diving and the whole town basically revolves around the tourists that come to dive. We have not been to another place where the beach is lined with dive shop ...

... the taxi driver got the idea we wanted to get a
taxi to the port of Batangas (a £80 fare) we managed to clarify that
we actually just wanted to go to the bus station (a £1 fare) yo
catch a Batangas bus. Aside from the usual hordes of porters

... two towns and right on the water. We spent three days hiking to beaches and waterfalls, drinking on the beach, and just enjoying a relaxing few days. The first waterfall we hiked to was a bit of a trek through some forest/jungle. We actually had to go through an indigious village to get there. When we arrived we were the only ones at the falls, which was wonderful and the swimming there was great. After the hike, we had lunch at this Italian place ...
