... just before sunset!

We are liking this place more and more!!

That evening we just chilled, played some cards (******** is our game) and once again i think Miss K has a gold medal at it!!

At least Linda has got used to the hours fast asleep in bed! Me on the other hand am lying there wide awake so i decide to go down to the bar and helping me get to sleep by drinking as many beers as it takes!!

... from the squid almost pot out the coals, meaning the cooking time took a lot longer than either of us expected.

The squid for me was not a big hit I am more a Italian squid eater then grilled, his squid was done whole with head and body together, I chose to go steak style bad choice for the grill.

So, after the squid was done we went back to the guard and ask his opinion, of course we had a handful of cooked squid on bamboo ...

... mission to a poorer community in Manila with about twenty other students. The organization we went with (Gawid Kalinga) received some medical supplies so they sponsored a day clinic. Laura, Joe, and I, along with our new friend Gertrude, were in charge of taking the weights and temperatures of all the kids that visited the clinic. Life in the Philippines is a constant cat and mouse game with touts and vendors. The best thing about guide books is that they give you an idea what things should be worth but our book is seven years old so we never know how accurate it is, especially considering it gives a lot of prices in US dollars and given the changes to their economy the past 18 months it is difficult to judge its accuracy.
