... we een b-day braai, was gezellig. Daarna zijn we beland bij een black club! (andere dan vorige keer) Wow wat vet! Toen we binnen stonden en bier bestelden voelden we wel meteen vingertjes langs onze achterzakjes kriebelen. Hé, wat raar? Dat die Afrikanen zo aan kontjes van mannen voelen?! War and Peace
... go to the gym and the library. I didn’t quite meet my goal, but I managed to get most of my errands done before coming back to my flat to get cleaned up, eat lunch, and then go to class. Wednesdays are so exhausting, and it’s mostly the stretch of class from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. that nearly kills me! (But I guess not having class on Fridays makes up for it!)

Thursday night I went to visit The French Guys. We made crepes and chocolate truffles! Despite a few minor crepe disasters, (it’s not as easy as it looks to flip those things!) everything was delicious and it was a lovely evening. (Although I need to stop staying out so late! Most of you probably know that I am nearly always in bed by 11, and here lately it has been closer to 2 or 3 a.m.!)

A day on the town

This was an issue that came up several times while on my service trip in the Dominican Republic, and I’ve come to realize just how profoundly that HOPE trip impacted my views about poverty, social justice, and service.
