Awake at 0600 dressed, breakfast & left at 0830 for our morning trip to Salzburg. And sunshine as we leave Innsbruck. As we leave onto motorway there is quite a blockage on the oncoming side ( fortunately ) trucks ++ probably due to a religious holiday tomorrow. Trucks are not permitted on highway on weekends or public holidays. We arrived in Salzburg 10am after a short toilet stop just before. As we were too early to check into our hotel we met a ...

Before picking up our bags, we stopped at the Spar in the train station to buy the cheaper kind of Mozart Ball's (Mirabell). These were only 4 Euro per bag, and I got four bags! I wanted a lot because I don't think I'll be back to Salzburg anytime soon, if at all.

Then we walked over to Hertz to pick up our rental car. It took quite a ...

... Stef and Pat dropped us off downtown, while they went up to the Eagle's Nest in Berchtesgarten and the Salt mines. We decided to take a city bus tour. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing many things and learning about them. Though I have seen the house from Sound of Music, i think I enjoyed seeing it even more this time. What a treat. After the bus we needed to find something else to do that didn't require much walking so we took the boat trip. It was beautiful and the ...
