We have just come back from a lovely trip up to Lake Konigssee, and a boat trip down the lake to St Bartholoma. We were able to secure a table right on the wall at one of the restaurants up there so that was awesome. We had a few radler mit zitrone which is a radler beer mixed with lemonade. It's very good and, at 3 Euro 40 per half liter, it's cheaper than a coke which is 4 Euro for 1/3 liter. Guess I'll HAVE to ...

Down the main street, Getriedegasse, there are elaborate shop signs overhead, some of which have been around for many generations or even hundreds of years. There's even a Starbucks and a McDonalds which one of my expat friends jokingly calls "The American Embassy."
