    ... that were planned and the grand entrance with marble staircase, floors and walls and immaculate paintings which really gave the place a grandiose appearance fit for a Bavarian king. Climbing up the stairs we were greeted with rooms, each more astounding and unbelievably richer than the last. It appears that the Mad King was mad about the Sun King Louis IV and had the whole place designed as an homage to him and Versailles albeit on a smaller, but finer scale.

    ... proud that I too left my vanity behind, as there was only time to brush my teeth. The team had mixed reviews of the museum. Some said it was strange, bizarre or terrible. However, I say it was fascinating. I was pleased the boys had an opportunity to stretch their imaginations and celebrate culture European style.     ... amazing and when we got off at the top we walked along some of the tracks. There were many mountain walkers as it is there summer time activity and they walk up and down mountain tracks all over the valley. We only did a short walk just to get a feel of the area and the views. The next day we went up one of the mountain roads to the Zamser Dam.     My dad has had Riedel glasses for years... Little did we know, they are made in Kufstein!!!!!!!!! So when we found out we decided to go there and get a self guided tour of the Riedel glass factory. We were surprised at how small the insides were about 50ftx100ft. the glassblowing was awesome- you got to see how they shaped the glass with a cup and with a mold. And man was it hot in there!
