Antalya, Antalya, Turkey aytgroup... she was feeling better. We also picked up more passenger, including a woman in a full Islamic swimming costume, which looked like a raincoat and pants with a headscarf. It did not look very comfortable.

As we pulled away from the spot, the minibus was more crowded, so when Sarah started throwing up this time, everyone noticed. No one, however, could communicate with us, but we could tell that they were horrified. Olympos, Antalya, Turkey kickthrough... up the hill for a good view out over the water with Catherine and Jennifer and then hung out. From there we took the boat past the "Sunken City," an old Greek city that is now for the most part under water, though to be honest it wasn't nearly as impressive as in the post cards... It never is...haha. The sunken city is protected so you aren't allowed to stop there or swim. It all went by pretty quickly.

Our major hang out spot for the day was a secluded little bay that was ...
Olympos, Antalya, Turkey jimmyandkristen... in Olympos. I was happy to be in Olympos. I was looking forward to this place as people spoke highly of it. It definitely feels like your typical bacpacker hangout. here are no high rise hotels or asphalt roads. Instead you have these wooden guesthouses that pack the only (dirt) road in town. It just feels so remote. In fact, there are no ATMs in this town. Each side of the road is surrounded by these beautiful mountains. I eventually picked a guesthouse called ...
Olympos, Antalya, Turkey dinovagabond... there is a natural gas that seeps through the cracks of the earth, although apparently scientists are still unable to discover the compounds of the gases. Its just another one of those bizarre natural mysteries as to how and why the phenonmenon occurs! After 2.5 days of the ultimate laziness and relaxation, I was getting antzy and ready to move on. My next stop would have me taking an overnight bus that headed 10 hours northeast to a magical region known as Cappadocia.
Olympos, Turkey trg7... we went up to mount Olympus and saw the eternal flames - it was really cool - there are lots of flames coming out of the rocks, they don't know what causes the gases to ignite on contact with air - really amazing when you think they have been burning for thousands of years.
