... moment I had an inkling of what it might be like to work for the Yukon Geological Survey - maybe I missed my true calling in life? Anyway we had a great time, and finished up the day with a great Wienerschnitzel meal at a local restaurant. Tonight we have to pack up for our train trip to Venice tomorrow. We're sorry to be leaving this area. There is so much great hiking here - maybe we'll be back some ...

... our hotel by around 4:30 pm, ready for showers and supper. I briefly contemplated suggesting that we go back up the Gaislachkogel gondola I and II, to the Ice Q restaurant (at over 3,000 metres) that had been our first stop up the mountain in the morning, but I don't have the right wardrobe for that place! Amazing views from the top, and felt funny to be riding up through snow covered rock areas. The descent down the "classic side" was awesome with the 46 hairpin turns. Even overtook a bus! Wow. What a climb. Thought I had bit off more than I could chew doing an alpine climb, but did ...

As Arlberg Alpin being one of Der Berghof's partners, me and my parents decided to take part in one of their activities : canyoning. It seemed to us a perfect combination to discover Voralberg nature while having fun. Moreover Lech and its landscapes could only have enchanted us.

We met our guide Stefan at 9.00 at the reception and were driving down further Warth, (approx 15 min). We arrived near the river and could ...
