We woke to a very nice outlook of the Nerang River from our balcony.

Our plan for today was to visit the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. We purchased tickets online and were able to purchase the tickets at half price.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a heritage listed zoological garden. Built in 1947 it was the first tourism …

Lorne was probably one of our favourite towns along the coast so we stopped there for some beach time on the way back to Melbourne. It was busy on the beach and there was a local surf lifesaving agility competition going on which kept us all entertained. Then we were offered a $2 snag (sausage) off the barbie by a surf lifesaver, but we politely declined. We had just one more stop off in Torquay back where ...

Driving along an infinitely pristine beach, which disappears somewhere on the blue-pink horizon of the evening sun, with high-rises sprouting up alongside of it, I was pretty damn sure that ol'Jeepy spit us out somewhere south of Florida, USA. And if that wasn't the kicker, those uncreative bludgers named a city right after it - Miami. Blimey me! Unfortunate for us surfer hungry photographers however, was so called Surfers Paradise, which seemed ...
