Beaches, Negril Seven Miles of FUN!

On to Beaches Negril Resort & Spa to do a walk through there. Security at the front steps met me to make sure I belonged there. Very nice to see that not anyone can just walk in.

Time to go home

... brighten the dark sky. It was very cool.

This morning we've just breakfasted, been for one last swim (and a few final jumps) and packed. We'll have some lunch now and the taxi should be here in an hour and a half or so.

We will update this blog with some pictures when we get home to give it some life, and write a final entry when we have had time to reflect. Other than that, we're nearly done. It's been brilliant.

Nice beaches but the "farmer" is so annoying

I spent almost a week in Negril, a long stretch of beaches along the western tip of Jamaica. Very popular with tourists. I walked the beach several times and I've been annoyed by the "farmers" and the like on a regular basis. They are sometimes aggressive. Better to walk along the road than the beach at night to/from the restaurant for obvious reasons. Nice sunsets.

Learning about Palm Trees

... You have a drink, go for a swim, wait to feel hot again, and then start the process over again. You have to make at least half of your drinks water or you will dehydrate and pass out. At 4:00 we went for our tennis and yoga lessons. I walked into the exercise building and the instructor was there loosening up. Soon there were 5 petite young women who joined us. Cool Breeze!

... on top of an enjoyable evening with a special guy. She gets to attend not one but TWO meetings on Saturday at the Peace Corps office in Kingston. Very exciting... Also planned is a late night of dancing at the Quad, one of Kingstons most famous "Dance Halls". Should be fun! (I don't know why Robin has chosen to write this entry in the third person, but I'm glad she did!)

Negril AGAIN - by far the best trip to date.....
