So, I'm off on my Paris/Italy adventure. My brother and sister-in-law had their flights postponed by the airline for 24 hrs......so I'll spend tomorrow on my own in Paris. I've scheduled a photography "class" for the afternoon so I'll get that out of the way before my family arrives on Saturday.
I awoke this morning at 5am with the intention of making it to the airport by 5:30 for a 6:30 ...
... both teachers and very well read. They also had a piano, a bunch of friendly cats and the sweetest dog I think I've ever met.
Along with feeling at home, I also felt like ****. Seriously, I got sick a day after being there. Something I thought would happen as soon as I got home to Atlanta. I'm so thankful to John and Devon for understanding and helping me get better.
Unfortunately, I forgot all about my ...
... 10 dragonflies flying around the reflection pool...it was amazing.
After the Memorial, it was off to start our journey to Albuquerque. Driving through Oklahoma..the wind definitely goes sweeping down the plains and kicks the **** out of your little Penske truck. Driving through there was a bit of a challenge but the professional trucker was behind the wheel so Anthony had nothing to worry about! Driving along the old ...
... Unfortunately we were 3 days too late. The majority of the birds, thousands, had already taken off. There were a few still there and the sunrise was beautiful.
We then drove southwest to Silver City for a few days of exploring.
... hassling by the city's bums downtown I was unable to visit the Stax museum, however that aside I had felt the city's music vibe and was pleased to have experienced a little bit of it in person. Memphis had certainly been an interesting place to see in its many guises and whilst a return is unlikely its mark was left on me, as was its fancy souped-up police cars that patrolled the crime-ridden streets of this Tennessee district. Book em Dano! Stay cool won't you.
Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States wolfieboy69I was in Times square in NY taking photos about the crowd crossing the street then i went straight to the airport, get a flight to Albuquerque, there, i picked up a rental car and drove 8 hours to Monument Valley in Arizona, so, exactly 24 hours after time square i was standing in a desert, with for only company a lost dog...actually i appreciated the difference.

... regions to help work at clinics, raise funds for a micro-finance program and assist in a project to help a small rural school. In 2007 we raised over $50,000 to support projects around the world. Those funds will create a new health clinic, start an early childhood education center, perserve cultural traditions and rebuild a monestary. Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States jennmtnfund... I found about a guy who used to work at Fourbucks in Mandeville, LA and was offered a job by Fourbucks anywhere in the country he wanted to move to... Fourbucks? Giving back? Who knew??? Called the guy, Adam, and he was working yesterday but off today. Score! So off we went, literally into the wild blue yonder... my first time going there, btw (never did understand what that phrase really meant till now!). Great guy, Adam... I was bummed ...
Albuquerque, NM to Winslow, AZ, United States dearmasa... age, not my age. That almost never happens now, and I don’t see it happening amongst my younger peers either, except for cross-sex hook-ups. I came back and visited again a few years later and found out that she’d been killed in a car wreck, right about the time there was a song of the same name all over the radio. Life’s weird.
