We are hearing from a number of people in this area that they are having unseasonably warm temperatures in the northwest. We noticed that no one has air conditioning either. The air is much drier than it is in the south so without the humidity 85 feels amazing! To these folks, it's a major heat wave though. This morning it's in the mid 50's and the air is fresh and crisp.

It's time to get the laundry done, pull out the suitcases ...

We had another travel day yesterday. An early morning bus Banff to Calgary, then a 2and a1/2 hour wait for our 1 and 1/2 hour flight to Seattle. 3 hours in Seattle airport then a 20 minute flight to Bellingham. I went to bed around 8 pm to get a few hours of sleep before heading home. Around 11.30, Carl drove me and the other students in our neighborhood to the GuestHouse Inn, where we waited for the shuttle to take us to the airport.

A magnificent trip has come to an end.

... is very very nice to me and make me feel very comfortable here. I met one of their friends this morning, who happens to be a teacher in English, and she was very, very nice. We talked about education a lot and that was very cool. After that we (Tom, Kellie and me) went for a walk. We visited campus, where the bus stop for the bus to Whatcom Community College is, and walked on some trails in the hills. The hills here are full of ...
