For those who haven't been to Whistler or were born on another planet and never heard if it, it is about 2 hours north of Vancouver, so the perfect escape from the city. It lies 777 metres above sea level and obviously surrounded by mountains and lakes. It opened as a summertime resort in 1914, but it wasn't until the 1960s that the first chairlift was installed and it become the most popular ski resort in North America. Overall, I enjoyed Vancouver and am very happy I got to spend some time there. Now I would like to get to some outlying areas in Canada, which I'm sure are even more gorgeous. I am usually not a fan of a city's huge amount of people and traffic, so I would like to see some smaller towns as well.

... Emergency Roadside Assistance, our warranty company and stopped at a repair facility. Looks like we can't get the motor replaced until after our Alaska cruise and tour. Oh, well, we can still travel on down the road and sleep in our bed.. Back on the road, still heading north, we headed on up through Oregon, all the way through Oregon. I hate to repeat myself, but again the scenery was awesome. There are just so many words I can use ...

Note to Jen: The Blankets in the Storehouse photo are all Hudson's Bay Blankets. The White one with the coloured stripes is 'the' Hudson's Bay Blanket most people refer to ... a 3 1/2 pointer (with 3 1/2 narrow stripes on it - because it cost 3 1/2 prime Beaver Pelts), the others were also available for trade, but weren't as prized by the First Nations ... so, which do you want, assuming I can get any/all?
