Hi there, sorry for the delay.
Was a long drive yesterday and some boys didn't want to get up earlier....
The Yellowstone national park is huge and fantastic but it takes a while to drive through.
We had every possible kind of weather when we were there (snow, hail, rain, sun, fog,...).
I can say we saw definitely a lot of elks and bison but also 2 wolfs and some pronghorns. No bears and moose ...
... plastic bags. One of the bags is filled with some red goop/sauce, and the other has the Indian equivalent of pancakes in it. Don’t get excited, ootapam has onions in it. Kinda ruins the breakfast feel of the meal.
So all this and more we sought refuge from in Yercaud, and generally speaking we found it. The scenery alone was worth the trip. Peering out over the Eastern Ghats was a sight to behold, and it was great to get out of the heat of the Southern Plains. ...
... up at the stars was awesome! The owner also had the sweetest dog called Lily, who joined us in our frisbee games, bless her. After more hot springing, it was off to bed. I loved sleeping in my tent, because it was like having your own room and your little personal space, which is nice once in a while! I checked my emails again, and still no word from STA. So I spent another 30 mins on hold, and nothing. I was not impressed!
... and I had given both axles a thorough check in June when I came over to LA. One thing we didn't and couldn't check was wheel balance so its possible that (as my namesake in Wendover found) because wheels were so badly out of balance,their vibration may have caused a small amount of play in hub to become a bigger one.But in 1600 miles?
Whatever the problem the work done in Wendover this morning helped us to get to Salt Lake City where hopefully we can find ...
... the station he treated us to a late dinner at IHOP - International House Of Pancakes which was open 24hrs! True couch surfer style we actually slept on his sofa's.
