When our Flight Attendant (whose name was Dirk or something equally soothing) told us in melodious tones that we were landing in Dubai, for the first time in my life, I was sad. My episode of "Modern Family" wasn't over and my massage cycle hadn't ended. For the first time in our lives, we were sad to get off the plane.

... once we were in Puget Sound. Ann was there to meet us and now back ensconced chez Eschenbach. Not the perfect weather we had been experiencing, and a few raindrops, but not enough to bother putting up an umbrella, and we had a good walk, with Ann and Sam the dog, round Seward Park. Beautiful.
