These turn out to be two great days - on day one we went to the Seattle Centre, went up the Space Needle, travelled the monorail, saw the Chihully glass exhibit, went to the EMP, saw the travelling Star Wars collection (geek fest but, to be honest, pretty cool as well!) and shopped in Macy's. So it took me about 17 hours and 41 minutes to get here (I started a stopwatch when I left LA). I left at 5:30 am. Those of you that know me, know I am not a morning person. So ...

... small communities placed all along the Columbia's shoreline.

Today, Skamokawa has a bar restaurant, a hotel, and grocery store. Over the years, every time I passed though here, I noticed that it appeared to be a beautiful place to paddle canoe or kayak. There is a Livery in town now that rents boats and leads guided towns to Cathlament over 10 miles up stream. I choose ...
