Silver Cloud Inn-Lake Union Seattle

Had a 1-night stay here in June en route to Vancouver. The rooms were huge, at least by European standards, and well equipped through. The complimentary breakfast buffet included fresh waffles. The shuttle service was a great help as the hotel is a bit to far from downtown to walk. The indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi is open 24hours and there is also an outdoor pool which I didn't get to try. The only negative marks were that the room decor was bit fussy and dated and the wash-basin was in the room rather than the bathroom so you get to see your travelling companion brushing their teeth !!!

My family (including 2 teens) and I stayed at the Silver Cloud at Lake Union for 6 days. We had a lovely room that was plenty large enough for the four of us. The room included a microwave and a small fridge, which was a nice amenity and no extra charge to us. In addition to the 2 queen beds, there was a small pull-out sofabed, so each teen had a separate place to sleep (no fighting--yippee!). The free breakfast was ample and you can't beat the view from the dining area--it overlooks Lake Union. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the place--the maid service was awesome. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again. It's very close to the Seattle Center, and minutes to downtown. The free shuttle service and free parking were great benefits, too.

The Silver Cloud Inn exceeded our expectations! The place was clean and cozy...The Staff was kind and attentive to our every need...We loved the shuttle service...And the breakfast was much more than continental in my opinion...I have not one bad thing to report about this hotel...We will continue to stay there again and again when visiting Seattle...It truly is a hidden treasure from the many hotels in the Seattle area...

We can only add to the rave reviews. Definitely a great hotel and a great bargain. We got a room for under $100 a night and were very happy with it. Very quiet, comfortable rooms. Staff was helpful and pleasant.

The breakfast was satisfying and we enjoyed the Tuesday night get-together which offered beer, wine, etc and snacks. The shuttle was a great convenience, as was the complimentary washer/dryer. We highly recommend Silver Cloud Inn!

This is really a wonderful place in every respect. The view is great and it comes with nice balcony doors (no balcony). Be sure to ask for a high floor so you can see the Space Needle. Bathroom is great, beds are soft, reception friendly, and a free shuttle to downtown. Check out their web site for discounted rates. We stayed for only $100 a night.

I'd say a bargain compared to Seattle downtown hotels.

My husband and I give this hotel two thumbs up. The people are extremely friendly, and our room/bathroom was spacious enough to accommodate our traveling accessories. If you are looking for a place that feels like home, Silver Cloud Inn - Union Lake, can definitely live up to that standard. The complimentary breakfast is very pleasant, and the morning newspapers is a treat they provide you first thing in the morning.The price is affordable. I would recommend to check out their website first before going through any discounted travel websites.

This was an excellent hotel in every respect. The personnel were most accomodating and pleasent. The room was spotless and comforable. The hotel services were top notch.

Upon arrival, we were placed in a non-smoking room that reeked of tobacco, no fault of the hotel. To their credit, we were immediately moved to another room. The room furnishings were most comfortable. The breakfast was good.

There were two remarkable services that were provided. First, there was a van that went wherever we wanted to go and picked us up from the destinations. This was gratis [tho we did tip the driver.] Not only were we taken, we were also informed about good restaurants. Second, the hotel provided free do it yourself laundry service. We appreciated the opportunity to do a wash.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone - even my mother who is most picky.

What a find! This hotel has it all - here's a sampling: Big, clean and modern guest rooms (ours had a lovely view of Lake Union) with free high-speed internet access, microwave, mini-fridge and nice-sized TV.

Excellent complementary breakfast including make-your-own waffles, fresh fruit, pasteries, cereals, hard-boiled eggs, etc. Complimentary drop-off and pick-up shuttle service to and from tourist destinations.

Both an indoor and an outdoor pool (each with hot tubs). Complimentary use of washers and dryers. Free parking. Located across the street from many good restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff. We spent three nights at this location with our three daughters, and we all adored it - we have already sung its praises to all our Seattle area friends and family. We will definitely stay there whenever in town. Must be the best value in Seattle - don't miss it!

The Sliver Cloud offers so much more than just a room. It's facilities are top notch in every way not to mention the best Continental Breakfast we've had at any hotel. Clean, friendly, spacious, great pools, and views! Also, the location makes for easy access to downtown Seattle and the major attractions you'll find there. We stay in Seattle a few times a year and always return to the Silver Cloud as my family won't stay anywhere else!
