... adjourned to a little bar just along the beach. With simple bamboo and palm tables, chairs and umbrellas it was a perfect spot to sink our feet into the warm sand and watch the sun set with a cold beer. After a better than usual meal at one of the restaurants on the road, we ended our first day at the beach lounging on the comfortable chairs on our balcony listening to the sea lapping on the sand and admiring a spectacular canopy of stars.

... restaurant mit dem namen 'angel', welches wir unterwegs gesehen haben. Dort essen die einheimischen und wir waren die einzigen touristen weit und breit. So kam es auch, dass sich der ziemlich betrunkene besitzer zu uns an den tisch setzte und uns viele lokale geschichten erzählte, welche wir von keinem tourguide zu hören gekriegt hätten. ... great company, so we have hung out with her quite a bit. While at Ngapali beach she brought to our attention this interesting trio: two 50-ish Caucasian men traveling with a 30-ish Asian woman. What fun we three had considering all the different relationship possibilities these two men and one woman offered. Although, it is fair to say, based on how the three interacted, it was hard getting past the most likely one.

... die Haut, fast unbemerkt, unter dem Deckmantel einer kuehlenden Meeresbrise. Noro geht unter den Reisenden um, allen Versuchen mit Myanmarwhiskey zu entkeimen, zum Trotz. Ich blieb bisher verschont, so manchem "guten" Reisewunsch zum Trotz. Der Traegheit in Palmenschatten ist hingegen nicht zu trotzen. Die Tage vergehen.

Im Bus geht es zurueck nach Yangon. Stunden gilt es im Bus zu verbringen, auf holpriger, vielfach geflickter Strasse. Nur halbherzig ...

... the beach, it's complete empty. I went to the Golden Sea Resort, but if was a complete dive. So I went to Shwe Hin Tha Hotel, the sister to last night's hotel.
