Mike and I told him I was going to Asia to 'find my mojo', to which he replied that I had never lost it rather but I had got sucked into the London thing and become another automaton - how true.       ... spent the day with Doris and Peter, learning to make what seemed like just about every Thai dish going. Joe arrived back in time to have a taste and he seemed to think it tasted quite authentic, maybe he was just being nice. We also spent quite a bit of time in the night markets, drinking huge bottles of beer and ordering weird dishes off the menu (don't ask me what they were, possibly chicken heart in one??)

      ... came up to our table. Confused I asked why he had bought them?
      FOR THE ELEPHANT he said. WHAT ELEPHANT? I said. THAT ELEPHANT he said nodding over my shoulder. Well I looked around not believing and sure enough I was literally face to face with this huge Elephant, I nearly jumped a mile. It was most funny. James gave us the bags and we hand fed the beautiful beast.
