So just determined to enjoy the day and do everything it threw at me we sped off to our first island.

Kho Tulu and after a quick stop offshore for photos we had a 2 hour stop here for snorkelling. There was already a boat of similar size here so I walked to the end of the beach for some peace and quiet. It was beautiful here - and i had 3G so could put a picture on facebook there and then. Now is that paradise or ...

... very clean and has a lot of Russians here. We stayed at a nice hotel here. Our buddy Brian arrived around 2am and he is joining us for the remainder of the trip. Everyone else besides Jim and Claire are going back home on Monday the 24th. He has never met Jim, but as we predicted, they are kindred spirits and they hit it off immediately. ... we were given to watch Muay Thai in a bar called Naga a few minutes walked from our Bungalow. The fighters weren't quite up to the standard I'd seen in Chaing Mai though and it felt like it was more about entertainment than competitiveness. They let two Western guys get up at the end, and although they'd obviously done a bit before, and they weren't in bad shape - it was amazing to see how knackered they got so quickly. It made me appreciate the Thais fitness even more. By the 5th and ...

... ice water on my head. In the second round I came in with a flying knee and later I wanted her to move in so I could try a spinning crescent kick to the head. I normally wouldn’t go for that move but I wanted to see how it would work. It slapped her across the face but didn’t connect the way I really wanted it to. I was getting up for round 3 and the official said the other girl had given up. He raised my arm as the winner and ...
