    ... on the whole, I am not going to walk anywhere on my own in the dark so it was time to say goodbye. So with contact details all exchanged and promises of keeping in touch it was time to go home.

    So I went from being totally unsure about if I'd made the right decision to come here or not, to feeling like I had made new friends and could stay forever. I had a really lovely time here and would love to think I will go back one day. You never know - stranger things have happened....!

    ... supper with everyone lots of laughs and recounting of stories over the past month. Going to be sad splitting and going in different direction but that’s the tough part of travelling. Go to Lotus and instigate a huge group photo, I love a group photo! Have a good dance and everyone gets pretty drunk including Pete whose amusingly bad advances I manage to politely decline. Knackered after a full on day, I leave the others partying hard.

    ... After seeing this I am shaken up and worried incase there are more.

    I get the idea that food and drink on Koh Samet is expensive and the main clientele resort style holiday makers and fat Western men with 'pay as you go Thai birds' as Phidel calls them.
    There's very little to do at night except eat so we end up in a reggae bar where there is a Thai reggae band and lots of bored looking young girls sat around in bikinis and high heels.
