Needless to say we didn't attend the sermon, we went and had coffee. Next stop the winery. Still raining! Danielle was happy they served us food as well. Food was really good, fresh tomatoes, feta, bread and salami. When we were told we could go back for seconds it didn't take long ...

... the rain came and the view disappeared. As I pulled off the road, the front tyre hit a tree-stump hidden by grass, and promptly deflated with a hiss. Timing!! Brian gallantly changed the tyre (my job was confined to holding the umbrella for him) but I was aghast at the spare - a half size runt of a thing that was pretty flat too! Still thete was no other option, so I drove carefully back down all the zigzags through pouring rain - ...

... took about 40 minutes to circle the town and suburbs so we hopped on that. The harbour area of Corfu is very pretty, the old ramparts of which there were several were really magnificent but the rest of the town is really dismal. The train took us through places that were really slums and so much rubbish around. It’s obvious that Greece is broke as we saw the same sort of thing on our way to Olympia. We headed back to the town area and decided on ...
