Our hotel is quite lovely and the room is large. It reminds me of the hotels you see in old movies – I'm waiting for Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot to appear in the corridor! The staircase is so grand, the lift is quite new and the atmosphere from the 1950’s ...
A Quiet Day in the Village
... so off we went to enjoy this village. By this stage, it was lunch time, so we had a quick bite to eat and then did a tour of St Mary’s cathedral. We walked up the 234 steps to the towers – the view was amazing – you could see the whole township and the lake. It was very windy up in the tower and the sky was growing darker by the minute. From the city to the country
... the Blumenhaus (plant nursery) and asked for directions – by this stage I was really in need of a toilet – I could write a book about my travelling toilet experiences, as they cause Ian no end of amusement!! Thank goodness we were only a few blocks from the hotel. When we walked into the mall area I was impressed – a new mall area with quaint little townhouses all painted in pastel colours. Things were starting to improve.
