... we had too bend double yo get into them. They were very similar to the burial cave that we have visited in both Greece and Turkey, with tombs cut into the rock. Some had large arches carved into the walls with shelves below them, and some had niches where votive would have been placed. As we climbed along the narrow ledges between the caves the ceilings became higher, some of the interiors had 70's ...

We pottered about in the morning getting ready to leave. Logan had his walk on the beach and then we went to reception to pay. There wasn't any sign of life there or upstairs where the owners live. We know they are busy collecting their olives, Les walked to the restaurant to see if anyone was there. The cove is very nice, there is a long beach in a tight curve with steep mountain sides at each end, the centre area is all olive trees leading up a gentle incline to the village which us about 5 kilometres away. There is one taverna which is closed up for the winter which has a small lake behind it and at ...

... the attractive harbour from the circular Vousismeni Lake who's shore is lined with cafes and restaurants. It wasn't far and we parked at the harbour and walked through the town to the others side where there was a marina. There were four campers parked in the marina car park, it must be a popular site for overnight stops. We walked through the marina, there appears to be more boats in dry dock than in the water. There are plenty of big yachts ...

... more empty or deritict houses than are occupied. The houses are small and low single story, most have animal shelters attached to them. A couple of times we drop down to the sea, it's a beautiful pale turquoise colour today, yesterday it looked green, it's fascinating how the colour appears to change each day. At one if the bigger hamlets on the coast there were some caves underneath the road and a church was built into one of the caves, just the bell tower visible ...
