... not.

After the respective camping and running are over, we'll meet in Los Angeles to celebrate my 30th birthday before catching our flight from LAX to Bangkok.

Currently we're both recuperating from all of the dang shots we had to get for the trip, doing last minute research, attempting to fit all our stuff in small packs and wondering if JD's passport has enough room for visas and entry stamps. More to come...
Owensboro, Kentucky, United States jenandjd... lots of golf carts on the prowl.

Sunday, Karen and Pam had to leave and we only worked in a little chatter to entertain Tom. However, Pam was off to Memphis so we had a another shot. Travis would be added into the group so we could achieve new heights of pedantic discussions. Tom was excited.

It was really wonderful to meet Joe, Lisa Ann, Karen and Pam. Finding folks who love their birds as much as I do is ...

There is a large memorial building on the top of a hill –looks like a huge tomb. When you get in it, there is a small log cabin. It’s an interesting way to preserve a log cabin but seeing living quarters like that is always interesting. Very small and one ...
Owensboro, Kentucky, United States patgower... Inn-guests tandem bicycles and took off across town to walk the Harmonist labyrinth. On the way we marveled at the gardens: huge extravagant peonies in many gardens, roses everywhere, vegetables growing beside almost every house. This afternoon we'll walk the Cathedral labyrinth and I plan to spend some more time in the Roofless Church (called so because the sky is overhead). Photos of that later.

Evansville, Indiana, United States shef11308... day. Stocked up on water and gatorade as we embarked on the Upper Yosemite Falls walk - a 7 mile hike rising 2,700 feet. The falls are the 5th highest in the world, and the largest in N America. A hot day and arduos climb could not detract from the rewards of fantastic views, firstly of the valley, then the falls, then over the falls and finally onto Yosemite point which faces Half Dome and Glacier Point. We relaxed for a fair while at the summit, partly due to fatigue, but ...
