Left Rock Creek Campground at 7:22. There was heavy dew last night. The tent is wet and some of our blankets are too due to the drop in temperature at night. It was cold rolling up things and we are cold so the heat was on full blast. We will have to dry some things out before tonight. Today is a drive day. And I get to start. We've planned, interviewed friends and acquaintances, researched (i.e. googled), translated, and scheduled carefully every detail of our adventure! In just a few short days the TRIP will begin. Two weeks, 14 days, a fortnight... Let's see if Europe is ready for GiGi and ...
... but Indianapolis does. It's rather well done too. I didn't get a chance to try out the paddle boat, maybe sometime I'll get someone to go with me and we'll try it together.
We got dinner at Weber Grill. Amazing grilled meat. I had melt-in-your-mouth BBQ brisket with whipped sweet potatoes and broccoli. I couldn't eat it all, though I tried. The Weber Backyard beer was good too. Some local selection of a white wheat beer.
I spent the last two weeks getting the RV prepared for the start of our big journey. After going to three separate RV repair centers almost everything is working and we are heading Conway, Arkansas to visit with Jennifer's mother. After a week in Conway we will fly to Seattle to start our 29 day cruise through Alaska and the Panama Canal..
