    ... valley with a creek running beside the path. We saw cows, sheep and chickens in the pastures. The little mountain villages almost become more quaint each day. We are truly in the Galacian mountains and enjoying the scenery and food. One of their specialties is garlic soup (roasted garlic in an egg drop like soup). Tomorrow we have a climb up over a pass in the morning and then follow another valley the rest of the day. ...

    ... than last year (that was Adrian's) Things we didn't like: 98% of Parador receptionists 5% of Spanish roads 100% of almost undriveable potholed roads People wanting to sit on the cars while having their photo taken :-( The weather wasn't as good as it could have been Bracing on bendy roads (the ladies that is) So far more positives than negatives, which has to be a positive!     ... Navarette about 8km from Logrono. By 9 we were only on outskirts, through that big park area and the sun was setting. We were heading into countryside but it was really too late to walk further. A lovely Spanish lady out walking her dog rang a taxi for us. Arrived in hostel El Cantaro 9.30. Room crammed with 6 bunks. Smallest room on Camino so far. Not much sleep, people up and about all ...

    ... I see what James means this place is seriously out there ...! In fact so remote that I would need directions to their cabin which was on the edge of a national park. Stopped at the local Auberge (only one in town) and Bruno who JP knew called James for me as my phone had no signal. Celebrated ...had Wi-Fi emailed Liz & parents arrived OK. James arrived and gave me a huge hug in the car park. I followed JP from the village a further 2.5 km up a mountain ... Parked up ...
