    ... s like the time close to three weeks ago where Phil and I decided to cycle the 16km round trip to the nearby ski resort of Puntas Arenas, figuring it would be a pleasant easy ride because the town is flat.     ... up at 7 the next day to take the car back and for squid to go to work and me to go to a conference the university was having about human rights and such matters.

    Enough said, we had a blast, pooh on shoes and all! This week we have been taking it easy, walking, yogaing, going to the conference and/or work, the usual! Made Chili last night, it was to die for! Making fish tonight with squash and other grilled veggies, maybe an apple pie!

    ... the northern part of the Chilean Lake District passing the Alpine-like Villarrica and Pucón. The area was quite hazy from volcanic ash coming from the Puyehue volcano which erupted in June 2011. This is the same volcano that had Villa la Angostura in Argentina covered in ash and still appears to be disrupting flights. The border control post offers spectacular views of Volcan Lanin.
