    ... block to our hotel that Carlee and Andy had sorted out. We quickly checked in at La Posta del Cazador, which was built in a hunting lodge style and were given a nice room on the first floor with a lake view.

    Everyone was starving and we took a walk up Avenida San Martin to El Regional restaurant, which was recommended by our hotel. It had really nice decor with the focus being on the two huge chandeliers made from deer ...

    ... br> the smallest village in Argentina, there was a casino or 3.

    By midday was ready to head out for a nice walk up the the
    Banderrias viewpoint, at least it was nice once I passed the smelly sewage
    plant – pines, bright blue lake views and bright white mountaintops behind.
    Uphill of course but more than worth it for the spectacular vistas. Plenty of
    little kites ...

    ... arrive. It was 1am. But when a disheartened Ben finally got to play his set, most of his audience had already gone to other clubs, so Dora and I made up for them on the dance floor. Javier took us to some other clubs where at 6am they were still letting people in, one-in one-out. We made our way homewards wondering if Santa still leaves a stocking if you're out partying? The answer seems to be 'no’.

    Christmas Day was subdued. Lacking ...

    ... ve městech vyvádějí, je někdy vážne legrační. Běhají za auty, skákají, honí se. Dorážejí na motořkáře atd. Co je však pozoruhodné, je fakt, že nejsou vůbec nebezpeční jako někde v jiných zemích. Naopak. Všichni psi jsou velice přátelští a není třeba se vůbec bát si jít pohladit i toho největšího dobrmana, který se v ulicích potuluje. Je to zřejmě ...

    ... woodpecker with a bright red head and David even managed to get a photo despite the woodpecker moving every time he clicked.


    Having the time to observe and take photos of insects show that we are beginning to really slow down. We almost feel like locals and are looking forward to being settled for a while in 'our' house with a lake view in Bariloche.
