      Bound 2

A travel blog entry by sophiecocker on Jan 12, 2015

For the second time we are Vancouver bound (hence the Kanye West inspired title), this time we will be staying until the 18th, which I'm looking forward too! Back to normality I hope! Glad to be leaving Kelowna, whether it's just a summer place, it's certainly not the gem of Canada we were told it was. Big White is a really fun resort and great for families with plenty of easy runs for kids and a great village where almost every accom is ski in ski out. There are also lots of activities off the slopes to get stuck into like the tube park and ice skating. The pubs on mountain are quite ...

... with us and our next door neighbours. We were up youtubing funny as 90's music! Lol. We had our Christmas Eve Big White Parade. We carried signs to promote the spa and walked through a big crowd that lines the village. There were big fireworks after which were super pretty! Leanne shouted us a shot at the Bull wheel before we headed out for dinner at Blarney because it was ...

... a floating bridge) which connects downtown Kelowna with West Kelowna and it has  been in themshape of a wave designed in so that it blends in with the local surroundings. The waterside redevelopment has resulted in new apartment buildings and businesses along the water, some with private canals and lochs; small garden retreats, walkways and cycle paths. There are more moorings for yachts and other smaller boats and the local community spaces have been enriched with sculptures and ...
