Bored sitting here waiting for my flight to Seoul (scheduled to leave @ 0050 hrs.). Catching up on some emails & research in the meantime. Still have a few more calls to make before the flight; will check in once I arrive in Seoul as it may be last contact 'til the return trip (not sure how technologically savvy our base camp will be). Happy holiday, everyone! Sent from my BlackBerry Tour
Boston, United States opheliarisingSo true to form.

I've been running around this last week trying to complete everything I put on my 'Must-Do' list; and with only two days left, I'm feeling fairly confident that, yes, I will complete all tasks as assigned! However, I do have one (minor) concern at this point: I left getting my visa for entry into Indonesia 'til the last minute! Although, when I ...
Boston, Massachusetts, United States opheliarising... Mandela was held 12/5-12/9
8) Return to US 12/10

Of course, not having been in the country, don't know how much I'll get done and how much I'll not have time for. From what I gather, it's a country not unlike America (for the middle and upper classes anyway)--gleaming malls, affluent suburbs, internet and ATMs. And then there's the needs to be improved bit: limited public transport, destitute ...
Boston, Massachusetts, United States mchao... only go in and out of Hantsport with the tide and can only stay there while the tide is high. So the next morning, about 11am, we literally went in with the tide. There were little markers that the pilot used to check we weren’t beating the tide, like a rock on the beach which, as long as the water had reached it, we were OK. They started loading the gypsum almost before we had tied up. This took about 7 hours and as soon as the tide turned we headed ...
Boston, Massachusetts, United States patsypink... in Paris but caught on, two hours later. Unknown to me they don't put your check bagages on your new flight, so had to wait in Madrid for four hours. Good note it is a really nice day in Madrid, so enjoyed that. i must say that the French and the Spanish are really friendly even though I am butchering their language
Concord, Massachusetts, United States corr... I start cackling with laughter and they looked at me like I'd ******. Elly was pulled as a terrorist on the way through by a very nice Irish Homeland Security guy. We had to go to the second level passport control. I think level three is night flights to Tunisia and rags stuffed in your mouth. She passed. Stayed at the Hyatt Harborside. About £70-£90 a night and a fabulous view of Boston skyline. Excellent room service but it was 2am in our heads and we would have ...
Boston, Massachusetts, United States markl... latin american parade rolled out in front of the house. apparently they do it every year, although i don't remember one happening last year. there were teen cheerleaders and drunk men hanging out of pick-up trucks. they even threw a couple of throws at the spanish looking people in the crowd. it was a wonderful way to end the weekend. nate even made a joke that they rolled out the parade just for their wedding. hehe. if only!
Waltham, Massachusetts, United States maymay1980... through reading 40 engraved granite stones in 31 sites that tell this story. If you are interested you can also view this on the internet on www.sabbathtrail.org/virtualwalk/englis h/begin.html> We then visited Millen Pond which became the traditional Adventist Baptismal site of the area. This is where a hole was cut in three feet of ice in 1867 so that 12 young people could be baptised following a meeting held by Ellen White. We then ...
Waltham, Massachusetts, United States davidwoolleyToday we started going south from the most northern point of our journey which was Rutland in Vermont. We are heading into the Boston area and staying at a place called Waltham, some 25 minutes out of Boston. En route to the Boston area we paused at two very interesting places along the way. The first is the Hancock Shaker Village in Western ...
Waltham, Massachusetts, United States davidwoolley... at least until the drinks bill arrived. Luckily Jeff paid for the bottle of Italian red wine we had - at $US95 my poor unemployed soul was blanching. Wandering around the city is much nicer this week now the heat wave has gone through. And after 2 weeks my tan is looking really impressive :-). Speaking of which, it's high time I wandered down to the pool & worked on it some more. Ciao, Pete
