... to give the Haunted House a try. We waited in line for an hour and it wasn’t worth it. Maybe our expectations were too high but it was sort of lame compared to the haunted houses in Dallas around Halloween (of course this one was free). For lunch we walked to Alice Cooperstown, a sports bar meets rock 'n roll bar. Really good food and very cold beer. Comicon was lots of fun and we stayed all day. The first thing I noticed inside was the odd lighting. The roof was closed today due to the extreme temperatures so the lights were on but there is a good deal of ...

We drove to Phoenix mid-day and checked into the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in the early afternoon. We went to Scottsdale Fashion Square to do some errands. I had a 4:00 PM reservation for the Chihuly exhibit at the Desert Botanical Gardens. It was a stunning display of glass sculptures among the desert plants. We had a nice light dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn restaurant next door. The hotel we stayed in worked out well. We will stay there the night we return from ...
