Welcome to the fake town. Las Vegas is fake, it is in the middle of the desert and it has everything: The Empire State Building, the Coliseum, the Sphinx, a pyramid, The Statue of Liberty, everything. It's so funny to see.

... middle of nowhere, apparently there was going to be a retirement village built there, but it never really came to fruition. A few people moved out there to live as they seemed to like the solitude. In the distance you could see Boulder City and beyond that, Las Vegas, with the Seattle Space Needle very prominent. We landed, and sadly our Grand Canyon adventure was over, but we were on such a high from it. We thanked and tipped our pilot and went in and had a look at ...
... for later in the day so we would get shadows. As the day wore on there were thunder clouds (large storm caused flash flooding out of LV) but the goddess smiled on us and the storm passed to the East, so we had sun and shadows :>)

... last minute. I could have stayed another night, but somehow I knew that fresh air and calm living was going to benefit me more than an extra night in Sin City, plus I was aching to get to the Grand Canyon which was still a few stops away!
Didn't drink, gamble, take drugs or have sex. I had a chicken salad and an early night. Wild! I suppose I let my vegetarianism lapse!
