... yet to finalize our plans for the day. We had the pool (and the resort for the past two days) pretty much to ourselves. We cooled down for a bit before heading out to do the Zip Line afternoon tour. Just about everyone who comes to Costa Rica does the Zip Line canopy tours and it was definitely at the top of our list of things to do. Our only problem was getting Isabella to agree to zip through the rain forest canopy at blood curling speeds a ...

san ramon, Costa Rica gccostaricaYes Alajuela I'm leaving CR tomorrow! 3 weeks last visit, 3 days this time!! I hopped on a bus to San Jose today. Nobody told me about the earthquake!! Absolutely no room at any of the inns whatsoever. I was rescued by a taxi driver who rang round and confirmed there were no beds in SJ and found me a place in Alajuela for $35 - absolute extortion, as was the cab fare here but I couldn't get a bus because I didn't know which hotel. At least it's close to the bus ...
Alajuela, Province of Alajuela, Costa Rica valetroy... worker, Miguel, that we hadn't seen any sloths, he offered to drive us back to the hotel and show us some places where they are commonly seen around town. He was so nice, and drove us around until FINALLY we spotted one, a bundle of fur napping in a tree just down the street from out hotel. I went back that night to see if the sloth was still there, and it was moving around, maybe looking for a good nighttime snack.
Santa Elena, Costa Rica marmaladejenn... you get to the Statue of Liberty? And what is the name of the baseball team? And how do they dance in New York? Lots of questions... its adorable. I am going to have to figure out a way print out some pictures of my family because they keep asking me bring some in. Tomorrow, the workshop is Costa Rican dancing -- salsa, merengue, etc. so I guess I will be the one learning the most tomorrow!
Ciudad Quesada, Costa Rica carinleigh... m something of a rarity, a gringo that stays around to eat, drink and talk. Only just over a week to go before I head of to Fortuna and Arenal for my first full sight-seeing week since arriving in Costa Rica however long ago it was. If anything exciting happens in the zoo I'll keep you posted, otherwise speak to you all in a couple of weeks when I'll update you with details of what me and Debbie got up to. Adios amigos.
Ciudad Quesada, Costa Rica dingleq... champions (Saprossa) wapping [eclater] the Mexican Champions 3 - 0, much to Mr Lava Lava's excitement again. but then beat him at chess [echec] which calmed him down. In the end we never got to get a clear view [vue claire] of the Volcano due to the clouds. Its pretty rare to get that opportunity in any case. But Mr Lava Lava made it a very cool place to visit! Next stop, Monteverde / Santa Elena to see the cloud forest. Pura Vida! Love, Audrey & Nick
Arenal Volcano National Park, Costa Rica nrt_coulton... The intense sunset view of it was fantastic. I kept running out of the internet cafe to photograph it. Unlike the liquid lava at Volcan Pacaya near Antigua, the lava from Volcan Arenal is solid as silica and sand are mixed with the magma. We went on a night tour to the western side to see it spurting out glowing rocks that split and splinter as they come down to create a light show. At one point the whole right silhouette looked like it was hung in fairy lights ...
La Fortuna, Costa Rica nancydeb... there's a reason I don't dance. IT'S BECAUSE I CAN'T. And I am properly ashamed of this fact and don't go galloping around in foreign countries making a show of myself. It's not surprising that many people think Americans (USA) are nutcases. There is something called responsible tourism and that was definitely NOT it. And as a final note on this subject, reggae-tone is complete trash. The lyrics are demeaning to the development of society and I could feel my ...
SJ, Costa Rica pcvgirlAs I start my journey in Costa Rica I decided to visit first the unending listing of park in Costa Rica. But first I have to look for the most visiting park in Costa Rica. I sit on my computer and accidentally I click this site www.topworld.com. Wow! I was so surprise because upon clicking that site it reveals the 192 countries and ...
