Along with fifteen or so other happy tourists, we boarded a glass bottom boat for our snorkelling trip around the Gili Islands. The whole process was surprisingly efficient, in the passport office we were led upstairs to have our pictures and finger prints taken then we were back in the car on the way back to the harbour in no time at all. In the days when we weren't scuba diving, we literally just sunbathed by the beach and by the pool which was totally beautiful, and went on a snorkelling trip as well so we could see all three gili Islands! We made friends with people we met on the boat ...

... off into the depths only for us to literally bump into another turtle just a few minutes later which let us swim alongside it in the shallow water for ages - it was an amazing experience and one of the highlights of the trip for both of us.

Back on dry land, we spent the remainder of our time chilling by the pool, improving our tans, watching the best sunsets of the trip (by a country mile) and venturing into town at night for dinner and cocktails; our ...

... did a sentence gap fill on an extract from the Lion King. We all finished teaching at 5pm. Jen, Eva and myself all went down to the beach for a swim. There were about 8 to 10 local children swimming there too; when we arrived they wanted to play with us, to talk to them and they touched us a lot too, but it’s overwhelming after being with them all day. This evening, Ketut drove us to Tulamben. The water in our fridge has ...
