11/12 At sea

Yesterday I fell asleep at 3 and didn’t wake until 7pm. Thus I was not surprised when I woke up at 1:15, thinking it must be 5am. I read a couple of chapters of my novel about a Venice policeman and fortunately fell asleep until 7am. For the first time in months there were no dark circles under my eyes this ...

We drove to Paleokastritsa Bay which would have been beautiful on a nice day with a very rugged coastline and beaches. There was a monastery that we walked to with raincoats and umbrellas and viewed the inside of the church. Greek churches have flat ceilings and are decorated ...

Montenegro and Albania

... enjoyed the muggy climb to the top with excellent views all around even after drinking 4 bottles of wine the night before.

Wild camping in Montenegro is apparently allowed but we really struggled to find anywhere that would work and when we did we got told to leave. Camp grounds in Montenegro were not too bad but nothing special either, fortunately cheaper than Croatia. Albania on the other hand was so cheap ...
