... 2 couples left. Thinking they might no know we were Princess, we asked and were let on the bus, which had been there the whole time. The driver informed us this was the last bus. Yikes! Just another proof it’s better to be lucky than smart.

The following day was a sea day on our way around the bottom of the Italian 'boot' and on to Naples. The ship stopped at 5 am about half way between Greece and Italy after a distress call was received from a small power boat with 42 Syrian refugees. Our ship stood by until the Italian coast guard arrived and took them all aboard leaving the small boat behind. We were on our way again just after 10 ...

We arrived in Corfu in quite heavy rain. We had organized a hire car for €43 which was very reasonable, and decided we would continue on with our plans. We drove to Paleokastritsa Bay which would have been beautiful on a nice day with a very rugged coastline and beaches.
