Back in Bangkok again after a wonderful week in Khao Lak. This is to bring you up to date with what happened after the wedding - surely the longest wedding that we've ever attended! There is, by the way, one thing we forgot to mention in the wedding day blog - the second 'wardrobe malfunction'. Not content with being under-dressed for the tea ceremony, I then went on to be over-dressed for the wedding itself. DWP was the only man - the ONLY man - who was wearing a tie! Brother Richard will no...

... quite funny actually when he hardly understood a word I was saying to him - no he wasn't that bad, he told me about a few places I should go and places to avoid, after a few drinks, and an old German guy called Heinz (means Henry in English didn't know that) trying to chat me up to no avail, I chilled and decided to head back and unfortunately got accosted by a door bouncer standing outside one of the places "I should have avoided". Literally when you ...

Bangkok, Thailand leanneandhan... to start writing and then we revise along the way. We also get peer feedback and how some comments will help us make our writing better and others won’t be helpful at all- and the importance of the helpful ones. So far there are only a couple who really caught the connection between the clay and writing, but hopefully next week when we start working our way through the process it’ll click a little more. I booked this tour through the hotel that I was staying in, I really only wanted to visit the tiger temple but was told that it best to do as part of a tour. The bus came to pick me up and we went around the hotel to pick up the others. After a long drive we finally arrived at the ‘floating market’. As soon as you leave the bus and go to the water canal where most of the sellers are in little canoes your senses are bombarded, this is an amazing site. You fully ...

We think one day is enough but we can always buy an extra day if needed.
Mr Savay is going to pick us up from the hotel at 5am tomorrow to catch sunrise and then ferry us around all day ($17) not a bad price me thinks.
We can’t be bothered going out so we have booked dinner at the hotel. Fish Amok for me Khmer Beef curry for DK. 2 beers thank you very much! We are sat on the veranda ...
