... we climbed the viewing tower which gave us amazing 360 degree panoramic views of the sea and inland lake. Ready Player One (Ernest Cline?) Finished, best book I have read in a long time, highly recommend!

In order to get to Malaysia it was a 2 day journey. The first day was a 6 hour bus trip to Hat Yai. Hat Yai is situated in the deep south of Thailand. We were really concerned as all reports we had read were that this place was very dangerous. Mainly due to the ongoing disturbances between the heavily Muslim population and the Buddhists. ... ill and came down with food poisoning AGAIN! We spent the next day with me in the room and Amy waiting on me hand and foot until I felt a bit better the day after and we left. ... since the morning, so were looking for a quick fix, and that came in the form of a KFC feast (yes basically this trip is turning into a fast food frenzy of Asia). We looked around the Asia equivalent to Debenhams, where Rach got some running clothes in order to actually try and sort our lives, and we had some dinner before heading to sleep ready for the early start and a mission down to Georgetown on the West coast of Malaysia.
