... of the train station for the night market. It was a huge long market running parellel to the river. It had some great local food along with some local gift stalls.

We spent a good hour or two here before heading back towards the shopping centre we had previously found. There was a big Tesco in which we loaded up with snacks and drinks to see us through for the night.

Back at the train station we sat for around 3 hours waiting for the train. We watched rats running ...

Go to Sugar Bar for lunch and to say our goodbyes then back to the room.
Mid afternoon I visit the large Mae Ping Hotel where a travel agent is advertising short breaks in Burma that I want to enquire about. These are 3 or 4 day breaks from Chiangmai to Rangoon and ...

We left Lucky's Bungalow behind after one final swim in the pool in the morning and headed back to the town to catch the boat/bus combo back to the Surat Thani train station. The boat ride over was beautiful. No flying fish this time (did I mention how many flying fish I saw on the boat from Ko Tao to Koh Phangan? Lots!!) anyhow, the kids opted to stay in the shade and aircon in the lower deck of the boat and I opted to ride on the front of the boat in the sun, my ...
