Ironically as we set out towards Hot we enjoyed our coolest spell of riding as the temperature plummeted south to the low thirties!!! Our "Hot 100" was a ride to remember and the bends, scenery and vistas have now become a cliche. So moving on .... We arrived in Hot and NOBODY stays here except zealous Christians (for some obscure reason there are five churches here), cyclists too exhausted to pedal another kilometer, scooter riders who have ...

... roads too and so far the conditions have been excellent. After riding in Indonesia everything else has seemed fairly easy. Soon we reach a small group of makeshift restaurants on the roadside and realise we've found the entrance of the waterfall. We had spotted signs of a stream on the ride up and are excited to find the source. The sound of rushing water alerts us that we're near by. The path is incredibly well sign posted and clean. So different to ...

... dry season.

The experience was a little depressing, but interesting. We left Diana outside, the village was one big tat shop, not a single other tourist in sight. Everyone was just milling about, the long-necked women kept an eye on their stands and helped out a couple of guys repairing a roof. A little boy was learning to ride an enormous bike, which with a crash, he flew off, laughed, then hopped back on. The whole thing was ...
