    ... least 8 salads, 10 hot dishes, 3 "live" stations - think carving station but Indian style where someone had to prepare the dish for you instead of serving yourself. Lastly there was a naan station being manned by 4 cooks- two of them were rolling out the small spheres of dough, one was manning the tandoori fire and one was using a giant metal poker to remove the bread from the cylindrical oven and throw in the bowl.     ... with our pale skin, hair and eyes. The Indian women are dressed in magnificent saris of silks and chiffon in rich jewel colors and lots of bling. There is no such thing as too many colors or patterns.

    Eating out has been a challenge. The food is rich and spicy and there is lots of it. Too much. I feel bad wasting food when so many here go hungry. Hopefully it won't take long to get the hang of it. ...
