... not what we were expecting :) And now I settle down to carry on with my blogging (by the way Arfon - is it legal?) :) and a nice relaxing afternoon on the terrace, total bliss. Martin is taking photos and just chilling and we are both letting the calm atmosphere just soak in to our souls.<br> Dinner was once more a grand affair, baby aubergine curry, the best gobi aloo I will probably ever eat, rice and stuffed parantha - it doesn't get much better than this...............
Pushkar, Rajasthan, India hazelandmartin... number written on it, was several sizes smaller than the right one, which was a perfect fit for me. So the next morning we went back to the shop to try to get the shoes replaced. This being India, they only had one single pair in my size. And of course they were bright red/orange. I hesitated for a long time over the choice between the ill-fitting blue pair and the perfect fitting red\orange ...
Pushkar, Rajasthan, India bangkokrandy... hysterically and dancing around the tent. That lassie was way more powerful then we had imagined. Some traditional Rajasthani band was playing at the camp, and it was the perfect thing to observe under the influence of the lassie. These men had amazing voices and there were these great dancers. Some old woman stood on a bed of nails and on a bed of swords and started dancing on them. We finished off that first night outside the tent ...
Pushkar, Rajasthan, India jdcabanel... their seat was then occupied by an elderly woman and her husband. It was hot and dirty inside. I got tired of the noise and bumping ride. I saw a dead rodent on the floor among the broken peanut shells. I thought I would shoot a photo of it, but failed due to all the bumping and mass of people on board. I was thinking to myself, " It couldn't get much worse than this" , when the elderly woman, now sitting across from me, unloaded her previously consumed morning breakfast into the ...

We stuck firm and they let us go without too much hassle... but why must all of our attempts to understand faith come down to requests of large sums of money.<br><br>Whether we end up with good karma or good blessings... or anything else for that matter seems to be between us and the gods that may be; <br><br>I'm glad though we took part in the blessings, I just wonder if the same pitches are used on Indians or just tourists. <br><br><br>
Pushkar, Rajasthan, India volitare88... all. From the road, the whole complex looks a monster, taking a commanding slice of the surroundings. In the palace grounds below the fort were outer meeting room areas, separated for men and women and a roof garden that used to grow saffron, on the top of a structure in the middle of a huge lake. There was also an impressive 3-tier water system for the palace. <br><br>Thro’ the palace exterior walls, there was a huge courtyard and horse stables – all ...
Pushkar, Rajasthan, India nanagnana... paraded and were followed around the campus and got whatever they wanted. Many of the girls gave out their father's e-mail and cell numbers and will wait until school is out to be able to receive e-mail from our girls. For every country we have traveled to we always have a family meeting and make a list of all the things we would like to see and do in order of priority and/or preference. We know we can't do everything but we will do everything to ...

Pushkar, Rajasthan, India irmaferran... travellers were off to bed and in the morning rose to find that we just entered somewhat of a Karma Cola (not my term) fusion where eastern spirituality was strictly business, and the entire hippy community that had decided that Goa was now too far down the commercial hole had miagrated here to learn the Tabla. Pushkar was a breath of fresh air in terms of the downsize and pace from the city's we had visited so far but the one we struggled with most in terms of culture shock. Max ...
