    Zoe and I both share a great love for stationery and notebooks. Chen Sha, our language fellow at Vassar, and savior here, took us to this wonderful little stationery store where we continue to buy notebooks. For one class here I have more notebooks than I do at Vassar but I can't imagine doing this class without every single one of them!

    ... China made the atmosphere a real buzz. Trying some of the local food after the game I dug down deep and tried some deep fried ducks feet. The visual look of ducks feet is off-putting, the flavor was really yummy, the crunch of the bones and nails was throat chocking, and the rubbery skin almost brought it all back up, but I finished it off and beer was needed to wash it all down. ...
