However we learned that we wouldn't really interact with the pandas, and that we had to pay extra if we wanted to get a picture with the pandas (500yen for 30 seconds!!)

I think it took me until Monday of this week to fully embrace this experience. I was definitely having a fantastic time and being adventurous before, but something clicked on Monday: I'm in freaking China!!!! There are so many incredible places to visit and things to see.
