... lava flows separated them but are believed to still be connected underground). I did not see a reflection but did enjoy the views. However, there was not much else to do there so I got back on the bus (after a long wait) to my next destination (the Fuji caves).
I was warned that these were hyped up, and they were. I went to the "Ice Cave" and it was definitely a waste of time and money. I guess it looks a lot better in the winter ...

It's amazing that we have already built a community and support systems. I believe future lifelong friends were in that theatre today. We get to live in another country and expedience all the ups and downs that entails. This imperfect, sometimes dull but often wild road is my life. Guess what, I live in Japan. It finally hit me ...

... sardine tin, so we struggled to sleep well at all. No water supply there. Dinner was served at 4pm then made to go to bunk beds to make space for people arriving later to have their dinner. Tried to go to sleep around 6:30pm. Wake up call was at 2am to hike the rest of the way to the summit for sunrise. We were determined not to get stuck in the queue of people going up to the summit so left before the rush at 1am. We totally missed all the crowds and made it to the summit in good ...
