    ... upsetting that the tour company continued with a tour to see a mountain that they knew would not be visible without notifying passengers first. It was very upsetting when we were not able to get the bullet train tickets that we had already paid for and then had to pay out of pocket to get back home.

    On the plus side, we got to ride multiple parts of the extensive Tokyo transportation system and saw beautiful Japanese houses and gardens in the countryside.

    The alarm rings at 6am today: time to do some serious hiking! Despite the bad weather forecasts, we decided to try the ascent to Mt Ryugatake, which is just 1,500 mt high and it should be a loop of 5 hours. The summit of Mt Fuji is wrapped into a round cloud today and more dark clouds are approaching. We take the bus which, after 1 hour, leaves us at Lake Motosu, the start of the walk.
