We reden richting Wallaman falls. Zo'n 400 km rijden.

We had breakfast on the pontoon watching for the elusive platypuses - trails of bubbles but no sightings. We went for a 5km walk around Lake Barrine - the lake is a volcanic crater. The tea house is very pleasant with a lovely view over the lake. There were very few people around and we enjoyed the rainforest walk watching out for hazards such as barbed vines across the path. We saw ...

... have sky dived on to Mission Beach, Ken wasn't keen! Saw a cassowary, this is a flightless bird, bit like an emu, huge, with turquoise, blue and red head and neck, a protected bird, wandering on a quiet lane, I got out and took photo, it scuttled away.
