Turns out it needed a new alternator as well, which brings us to our current state. We have had no choice but to stay two extra nights, and may be needing to stay an additional night to get our car up to standards.

The next day we transferred to another Holiday Inn Hotel in Foley, AL. By staying in 2 different Holiday Inn's we were able to accumulate 12,000 points. Applebee's had a hamburger plate special that we took advantage of. There wasn't much to do in Foley. We arose early to head back to Lufkin for the week. ...

We were at the bay side fish market about 8 miles out of the town of Gulf Shores. We love fish. Larry was asking how strong a fish taste did each of the varieties on display have. He normally chooses mild tasting fish. I was jokingly telling the ol' weathered fisherman behind the fish counter, "just call it fish and I'll eat it". Larry kept saying, "I don't like a strong fishy taste". ...
