Yesterday started out badly for me. While doing tear down my chair wheel caught the hose and ripped it and the hookup from the trailer - again! Then, to add insult to injury, my chair got caught in the mud - again! Nita had to haul the handy dandy mats over to get it out.

The drive was a relatively short one from Tallahassee to Ormond ...

We took advantage of a nearby beach that was much quieter and walked along the boardwalk and in the sand. ... the beach. Until the late 50's they used to race right on the beach.

There was an old biplane flying up and down the beach towing an advertisement, looks like an awesome way to make a living. There are squadrons of Pelicans flying sorties above the water and diving in amongst the people playing in the water, sometimes landing right next to them.

... we came across a man fishing. He was about mid-thigh deep in the ocean, casting out periodically. There was also an egret in that area looking for its next meal.

Another couple of hundred yards beyond the pier was the Ocean Deck Restaurant and Beach Club. We decided to stop in for lunch. Actually, the people at the t-shirt store we initially visited had recommended this restaurant. It turned out to be a wonderful recommendation.
