... to many close friends waiving and ready to donate. It was a great night reuniting with old high school friends, family and many many others. On to NYC Thursday to support my son and his buddy's fundraiser at Fiddlesticks in Greenwich Village 5-9pm. Leaving Purple Haze in Durham to rest.

... 2 years ago in NY. They made the trip to come visit us for a few hours. We can't wait to head out camping with them again this summer. Makayla and their daugher Avi were ecstatic to see each other and practically, no literally, plowed each other over when they saw one another! ... an early dinner we had a campfire. It was more smoke and less fire because the wood was full of sap, but it was enough to toast some marshmallows. Being that it was too chilly to sit outside we retired early to watch some redbox movies.

Tomorrow is our last full day before heading home. The weather looks like it's going to be around 60 and sunny. If that is true, I promise not to complain!

Some of the original furniture is still on display. They built things to last in those days.

Another section of the building contained a museum and what I would call a trophy room. Strange things you would not expect to find in a public government building. There was even a two headed cow.

... stop was Harvard University where Steffi went to go and explore while Steffie and I did some laundry. We found the Laundromat by pure chance and badly needed to do some, so it was quite lucky. Next we drove to Bunker Hill where there was a famous American battle during the Revolution. I climbed all 294 steps up the narrow spiral staircase to the top of the Obelisk Monument without stopping and we had a limited view of the surrounds.
