... staying at a fire station again tonight (with electric and water hook-ups…yay!) and will be taking off tomorrow around 8:30am.

I can’t believe how epic the last few days have been…catching up with new and old friends and having the chance to both work and socialize with clowns we hold in high regard = shot in the arm we all needed for this new month. Thank you Mark, Josh, Glen, and Pat for everything!

... but unfortunately it was closed so we just had to stand at the entrance to it and take some photos. As we say, no fun to be had at this time of year! We drove a bit further and found a nice spot to have our lunch by the sea before continuing north up the coast. We passed through one seaside town which could have been transported from the UK in its entirety; lots of amusement arcades, fairground rides and accommodation to let. We also came across another roundabout, except here ...

... have liked to have jumped on my soapbox and made the unpopular case for much higher gasoline taxes on economic grounds but will spare you the details of what I would like to have said. Anyway, it was a gray day for the drive north, one that became drizzly north of Albany and then somewhat sleety once I got into the Adirondacks. I didn't take any pictures on the drive north so have only included a few from home in the weeks before I ...
