We got there too late to get tickets to go up on the monument or into the crown; there are a limited number each day and when they are gone, they're gone. Why create a big time consuming nuisance on a handful of roads when states could raise the same amount of revenue more fairly and efficiently through a slightly higher gasoline tax?
