... a 'proving ground'. This was an area laid aside to test both small arms, cannon and later on large anti ship guns. It also had an Interceptor Rocket battery. The view from the huge sand beach back to the city is memorable. While walking on the beach we were visited by the President of the United States. We have a beautiful little anchorage near the local Coast Guard Station, and we enjoyed a great sunset. We'll be up early to get a move on farther south.

The whole wedding was fantastic. Bride and groom are happy. Both families are party animals and dancing fiends, and it was just fun. And as my Dad called it, a good "fire hose shot of family" for us. ...

... some time in Central Park. It never ceases to amaze me how this serene little piece of nature can live in harmony with the craziness and noise of the city right beside it. It makes you realize anything can live harmony, there is always hope. I decided to sit up on one of the rocks and read my book for a little while. Every now and then I would look across to the little pond, it sits so still- so beautiful, even to the point where you are afraid to ...
