Perfect vacation

My wife and myself stayed at the Shore Haven Resort from Dec. 3 to Dec. 10, 2005. It was a perfect holiday from the minute we arrived until our departure time. This place is very well taken care of, clean and quiet. The landscaping is beautiful and the pools (one is heated) are very clean. You can enjoy outside tables, BBQ etc. You have all the facilities you can think of. Beach, restaurants, bars, convenience stores are within a walking distance. It's a few minutes driving to supermarkets, water buses, shopping mall and Pompano fishing warf. Unfortunately, nearby Anglin Fishing Wharf is not reopened. The owners the Franczak family (Adam, Krystyna and Andrew) extended their hospitality to the point that we could keep the same room on our departure day (because of 4 consecutive flight delays). Instead of being stranded in an airport, we enjoyed an extra vacation day. Thanks to these three charming and helpful persons above mentioned. The staff is also very friendly and polite. I don't really have to add that we more than strongly recommend this place for your next vacation. Also Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is a very safe and welcoming great little city for people of all ages.

Its gone down in my estimation

I stayed in this hotel a few years ago and it was great. I decided to book again - BIG MISTAKE. The room was smelly, the toilet seat had a big crack in it and would have been dangerous to use, the toilet was dirty. It look liked a sleazy cheap motel room. The guy who dealt with check in was more interested in watching his football match and managed to mumble a few words of conversation after he eventually found my reservation. When I confronted him about the state of the room his reply was - well thats all we got, there is nothing wrong with it. I checked straight back out. The attitude and the room stink.

A Short Review

I was very happy with the amenities at the Shore Haven Resort Inn. The Room was Immaculate, The Maid even did the dishes for us every day. The pools were sparkling clear. The Jacuzzi was beautiful. The customer service at the front desk could not be beat. It was in a great location, close to all the attractions. The beach was only a block away. Our beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was beautifully redone. Bravo on a wonderful Hotel.

Wonderful Stay

My daughters and I just returned from the Shore Haven Resort. We stayed from August 4 - August 10. The grounds are full of tropical foliage and well maintained. The pools(2) were always clean. They also have a hot tub in a seperate area. There are plenty of lounge chairs around the pool and many tables with umbrellas and chairs. The resort provides a very relaxing atmosphere; None of the hustle of the larger hotels. We stayed in an efficiency apartment. There was a full kitchen with all the necessary supplies. The room had two double beds and a couch. The furnishings are not brand new but everything is clean. The beds were firm and very comfortable. The personal service we received from Arthur was great. He was always there to help us with whatever we needed. Hi, Arthur! The maid was very nice also. She would always check with us to make sure we had enough towels. The beach is a short walk as are restaurants and stores. The resort provides chairs, umbrellas, mats, pails and shovels, for your use at the beach. All the little things add up to a wonderful stay. This place is a great value.

Great Value

I live in Ft Lauderdale and often go to the beach on weekends staying in local hotels. Lauderdale by the sea is a great little community and has a lot to offer as far as restaurants, shopping and of course a great beach!

I've stayed at many of the local hotels and to date (7/29&30) I find this the overall best value..2 pools, close to everything fantastic rooms and prices start at $54. We upgraded to an effiency to get a king bed..very large, nice furnishings lots of free parking and there were a lot of mirrors around the bed..hehehehe..

Also the breakfasts at Mulligans are great..

Exceptionally wonderful place - highly recommended

Stayed at this resort from 7/7/05 thru 7/13/05 and what a wonderful vacation it was thanks in part to my stay here. Thought about staying some extra days but unfortunately had to return to work. The place was AWESOME...the rooms were beautiful, the grounds very well-kept and everything was very clean...the people were very nice, a short walk from the beach, and shops close by. There is not one thing in particular that I can say was the best because it was all good. The pool was cleaned and tested every morning by 7:30. It was a pleasure staying there and the price was right. I will definitely be returning there on my next vacation to Ft. Lauderdale and HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay. Returned back to New York and completely bragged about my stay at this place. Thank you Shore Haven for a memorable week. Am already planning my next stay there. CAN'T WAIT!

Truly good

We have stayed in this very nice family run hotel. Believe us we are Dutch and have a high standard of clean and home feeling surroundings at an affordable rate. This hotel is an example of all of this including the nightly rate. We arrived really late, I mean REALLY late after a lot of delays at 00:30 in the morning and where treated very politely by mister Franczak when we woke him up in the middle of the night. This Hotel gave us a feeling of hospitality and being welcome at all times and on all fronts. On top of this all the area is right in the middle of a (safe) beach vacation combined with an affordable rate.

Thank you for having us fam. Franczak, we advised all of our friends about this great place to stay.

Very pleased

We just returned from a seven day stay at this hotel.(April 13-20 2005). Clean, quiet, well maintained. Close to beach, restaurants, bars, grocery store. Excellent value for the price charged. Staff were very helpful. Would definitely return.

Great place

We were guests here in July 1-7 2003. Great place for the price. Clean. Well maintained. Plenty of beach chairs to take with you to the beach. Safe environment; right next door to the City Hall! Close

Great hotel

Great hotel, clean, spacious, very helpful staff. Only one block from beach. Nice pool areas, beautiful landscaping. Owners clearly care about their hotel and guests. We've stayed here twice, we'll be back again.
