We are staying in the Land Between the Lakes a National Recreation Area. The Canal Campground is at the northern most tip and is just a few miles from the recreation area. We drove south to the Woodland Nature Station and were told to "take a hike" so we did. We took a 2.5 mile hike around the Hematite Lake. It was a nice hiking area and we enjoyed ourselves.

It is a COE campground and I get the discount for having the Golden Age Pass and being old:) We checked out the town of Grand River, population less than 400. But ...

Aside from the personal relationships, which is always foremost in importance to us when we travel, milking the cows was the highlight of the weekend for me.

Family and friends know that I am ...

    LITTLE BRIDE ON THE PRAIRIE

This section of our trip reminds me of the series "Little House on the Prairie" - a homespun touch.

The last time we saw Carly was when we watched her drive off with her new husband, Tyler, following their wedding reception in Steilacoom, WA.

Love does wonders and lured this lovely, tall, ...
