We decided to take a Viator tour (run by Sunshine Tours, Tokyo CIty Tours, Hatobus company) to see Mount Fuji. We were supposed to visit two observation stations on the mountain, have lunch, do a lake cruise, take a cable car to get a view of the mountain and take the bullet train back to Tokyo.

... it was very cold and wet and it has icicles in it, even in summer. As we manouevered inside the cave we came to a rather large roof cave in, which shortened the journey somewhat, and gave us pause for thought too! It was not a long trip but interesting.

We then went to see Lake Saiko and Lake Kawaguchiko, which are really beautiful, surrounded by mountains and lots of greenery.
