... the necks of chickens one-by-one in a slow, measured, almost menacing way (not fully beheading them as it’s not Halal) and throwing them into a basket. There were literally hundreds of them wriggling about. Through the next door were hundreds of guys sitting on tables and hacking up meat. ... and Amba, guided by boy Hritik. On our way back, we visited the farm – the rice harvest had been done and vegetables had been recently sowed. We got some vegetables plucked straight from the farm for us. In the end, we browsed through the vast nursery operated by Bhumkar and his wife and bought 3 saplings – a Christmas tree, a karipatta and a decoration plant.

It was a nice experience of a day and worth paying a visit again in summer ...
